Aspect goes down in history as the first person to make real use of those damnable "mood" icons on LJ. Congradulation! Here is a Livejournal of you! Shit, my head hurts. Toronto is about to get the dregs of tropical storm somethingorother from New Orleans. No cool high winds, but a piss-bucket full of rain is expected. I can feeeel the pressuuuuure bearing down on my heeeead. My poooor fragile heeeeead. At least it's not a migrane. I haven't gotten one of those in a good long while, knock on a tree's woody. Thank God Tylenol with codine is available over the counter here in Kanada. I wish I had some Advil, that works so much better. Speaking of medications, I had morphine dripped directly into my veins after my jaw surgery. It made me fall asleep for an hour, and that was about it. However, Demmorol and Gravol put me in a coma-like state for 24 hours and then give me a nasty hangover. I should really not take it anymore. Once, when I co-opped in a veterinary clinic several years ago, I got food poisoning one night from bad pizza. I took some Gravol and stumbled into work anyway. While preparing a dog vaccine, which was a part of my routine, I poked myself in my drugged haze. The doctor said it was OK, and I wouldn't get rabies that year. Plus I'd have a nice shiny coat. The Original Characters Quiz 1. Have you created any original characters? No. Wait. Yes. 2. That weren't intended for a fanfic? Coitenly. 3. If so, how many? Elevendy seven! 4. Any favorites? I'm really fond of Champagne from Sing Beneath a Desert Sky. I also like Bono from the same story. He's just so ... anti-Bono. No "Save Africa" here, folks! I know I'm not supposed to include fanfic characters, but screw you Mr Quiz-asking person. I also really like Jake McTreggor, Celeste's father from Trip Through Your Wires. Yeah, he's barely appeared, but I love him. If you don't, it obviously means you are racist towards the Irish. [/Prez Bush] If I may skank one more, I'm pretty fond of Leap from my story of the same name. I need to write more about him. Were-creatures rock yo caboose. 5. Any that you can relate to? Celeste, I suppose. Tho I'm not quite as scitzo as she is. Ooops, that's a fanfic character. (*Stabs self in the eye*) 6. Any that you would like to *be*? Bono! 7. Do you remember what the first fictional character you ever created was? ... ... ... um ... oh yeah. When I was in grade 7, I wrote a weird-ass novel (unfinished) about some kids who got pulled into fantasy world via (wait for it) a book. The characters themselves (Kevin and Jay) were prepubescent morons and I hate them to this day. But they met a man named Eric who befriended them, and turned out to be the son of the bad guy in the book, the Dragon King. That technically made Eric a half-dragon, but he looked perfectly normal. God bless my underdeveloped 13 year old mind and its lack of understanding (or caring) of phenotypes. I had a decent plot going in that book, too. I oughta rewrite and kill off Kevin and Jay. A book about Eric, y0. 8. Nicest of your original characters? Duffy from my 'Avianclaw' universe, merely because he hasn't dismembered anyone yet. 9. Evillest character? Bono! 10. Weirdest character? Bono! 11. Most annoying? Bono!...oh wait, I'm getting fantasy confused with reality. Um, Red Draco. People like her, and so do I, but she annoys me for some reason, probably because she's a shameless self-insert. That's OK, I can spank her. 12. Sexiest character? There's an ongoing trend of fanartists drawing Celeste naked. So I'd say Celeste. Which pleases me because she's very plain, but pretty. I never describe my characters very well on purpose, specifically for that reason. I want readers to develop their own pictures. I don't care if an author describes their character as having silver hair and kitsune ears...once I have an image of a character in my head, it's there through better or worse, shit-head or club foot.
13. Strangest backstory? Jake. I love the tension between him, Torrent Leviathan and Celeste. And Jake's a confused, strange man. 14. Biggest plot twist attached? Jake. Wait for it. 15. Do you prefer to make up villains or heros? It's all just shades of grey. 16. Speaking of which, do you have a favorite hero from your original characters? Leap, I guess. I was never good at the hero thing. 17. Favourite villain? Wrench from Sing Beneath a Desert Sky. He got more than he bargained for, a-ho ho ho. 18. Do you ever associate songs with any of your characters? Arias and Symphonies by Spoons fits Celeste and Jake exactamily. One Tree Hill by U2 is a fitting theme for Bass is Not a Fish. And Trip Through Your Wires by the same band is the perfect theme for ... ahahahah, nevermind. 19. Any character that you'd like to write a whole story about? I want to get off my fat ass and write more about Bono. If I had any sense, I would. 20. And finally, has anyone else created an original character that you really, really like? I pretty much adore the whole cast of Lex's Widerstand. It takes a damn good series to get me to write fanfic for. I especially like Mrs. Miller because she's a real bitch. No repentance for this merciless woman. When her time comes, there'll be no weeping, just a lot of insane laughter. I'm also very fond of Simon, but that's an easy one because I love half-breeds. And what's more fun than a laconic product of an average Canadian hockey schmoe and the Root of all Evil? Right.
